The purpose of the mentoring program is to provide students with extensive involvement and support that is not already apparent in their lives. The mentor based interaction that will be generated by this program will provide a platform that deters juvenile delinquency, decreases dropout rates, and prevents gang involvement. Simply by giving additional encouragement and personal contact to these students, our group can guide them to a life of growth and achievement.
